An unfortunate incident on the evening of Tuesday, April 19th, 2022, led to vandalism at a Mosque in London with two worshippers injured. Eyewitnesses said the vandals were armed with wooden poles, beer bottles, fluorescent light tubes and stones as they attacked Masjid Darul Ilm. Several people suffered minor injuries during the incident, mainly from broken glass. The area has been suffering from anti-social behaviour in recent times with attacks like this taking place in the community.

A Met spokesperson says there will be extra patrols in the area, as well as a “proportionate policing plan” in place during Ramadan and Eid.
